Banner Del E. Webb, North Colorado Medical Center receive HealthGrades awards
PHOENIX (March 29, 2012) -- The Phoenix Business Journal reports that Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center has been named one of America's Top 50 Hospitals and The Denver Business Journal reports that North Colorado Medical Center has been named one of America's 100 Best Hospitals by HealthGrades.
Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center is one of two hospitals in Arizona to rank among America’s 50 Best Hospitals. To be recognized in this category, a hospital has to have had risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates low enough to play in the top 5 percent of hospitals for the last seven to 10 years.
Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center has been in the top 5 percent for the past eight years.
North Colorado Medical Center was recognized as having risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates that were in the top 5 percent in the nation for a minimum of four years studied. On average, patients treated at America’s 100 Best Hospitals had nearly a 30 percent lower risk of death.
It is one of two hospitals in Colorado to be named in the HealthGrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals ranking.
