McKee Medical Center invites you to 'Solve Shoulder, Hip and Knee Pain'
LOVELAND, Colo. (April 12, 2012) – McKee Spirit of Women and Gold’s Gym Loveland are hosting All Right Now: Solving Shoulder, Hip, and Knee Pain to educate women in the community on the benefits of joint surgery. The event is Thursday, May 10 at Gold’s Gym, 910 E. Eisenhower Blvd. in Loveland.
Problems affecting the major joints of the body like the shoulders, hips and knees can cause persistent pain, interfere with daily living and restful sleep, and develop into more serious problems which can become difficult and complicated to treat. Women are invited to learn about how early, correct diagnosis and surgical treatment can be the answer to solving their painful problems.
“Surgery, for many women, can be a ‘now’ solution for their shoulder, hip and knee pain and can get them back on their feet fast – allowing for a more active, healthy life,” says Sheryl Fahrenbruch, program manager for McKee Spirit of Women.
“There is still a belief that surgery is a last-resort option and reserved only for elderly people: this is simply not the case. Medical advances have helped surgery to be the answer for people of all ages who are needlessly suffering from a range of problems which surgery can repair quickly and easily. We are seeing less complications and faster recovery time than ever before – with many procedures performed in a same-day outpatient surgery setting. Surgery can have you back on your feet and feeling all right NOW!”
Health education, screenings including bone density, nutritional snacks and fun activities are available to emphasize awareness of prevention, symptoms, risk factors and solutions for joint problems.
Orthopedic surgeon Dana Clark, MD, is our featured speaker. Booths will open at 5:30 p.m., and an exercise demonstration will begin at 6 p.m. with Dr. Clark’s presentation to follow. Please register by May 3 at (970) 203-6631. For more information, visit www.bannerhealth.com/mckeespirit. This program is free and open to the public.
