McKee Medical Center welcomes new outpatient registered dietitian


LOVELAND, Colo. (Jan. 18, 2012) – McKee Medical Center announces the hiring of a new registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator who will provide care for outpatients.

Kimberly Wilkerson, RD, CDE, also is certified in adult and pediatric weight management, a certified Lifestyle Eating and Performance (LEAP) therapist to provide counseling for people with food intolerance and a certified insulin pump trainer. She received her undergraduate education from Texas Tech University and her graduate degree from University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Before joining McKee, Wilkerson was a diabetes educator, outpatient nutritionist and bariatric counselor in Loveland, Colo., and Cheyenne, Wyo. She has lived in Loveland since 2008.

Wilkerson has a passion for diabetes education and weight management and is excited to be able to provide care on an outpatient basis. Patients can get referrals from their physician for outpatient nutrition education or they can make appointments with Wilkerson directly.
