Ogallala Community Hospital welcomes Dr. Van Wahlgren
OGALLALA, Neb. (May 7, 2012) – Banner Health is pleased to announce orthopedic surgeon Van Wahlgren, MD, has joined Ogallala Community Hospital and Ogallala Medical Group.
“We are excited for Dr. Wahlgren to join our team and are fortunate he chose to come to Ogallala”, says Ogallala Medical Group Clinic Manager Alyson Coffman. “He will be an asset to the community with the orthopedic experience he will bring to our patients locally.”
Dr. Wahlgren received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1979, and completed his orthopedic internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He had been practicing in Menomonie, Wis., at Red Cedar Medical Center, part of the Mayo Clinic Health System since 2006. Dr. Wahlgren is an alumnus of the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., and served in the military until 2005.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Wahlgren specializes in general orthopedics including sports medicine, adult reconstructive surgery of hip and knee, arthroscopy, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, trauma and fractures.
