An Enchanting Affair: Girls Night Out hosted by Banner Health
PHOENIX (Nov. 7, 2013) – Join Banner Health on an inspirational journey to good health. Come to An Enchanting Affair event from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 North Central Ave., and meet with our health care providers in a fun and fanciful setting.
Dr. Diljeet Singh, program director for Cancer Prevention and Integrative Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center will share her story and discuss, woman and health care in 2014.
“Girls Night Out is a chance to interact with other women and talk about cancer prevention, stress management, nutrition and exercise habits,” said Dr. Singh. “Taking healthy steps for yourself is hard and you can’t do it alone. Everyone needs coaches and support and it is really valuable to talk about these subjects among people you know and love. If what you get out of this event is that you get a group together to go hiking once a week or go to a cooking class to learn how to make healthy alternatives then our goal has been accomplished. It takes a community to get people healthy and to improve health habits.”
Learning about woman’s health isn’t the only event of the night. Sassy and soulful, feisty and funny, comedienne Monique Marviez will inspire guests with her unique view on life and love followed by a fashion show by Coldwater Creek and an array of artistic treats from Arizona Taste.
“Anytime I can hang around with like-minded ladies, good food, adult beverages and share a laugh I know something good will come of it,” shared Marvez.
Tickets are $38 per person and to RSVP for the event call (602) 230-CARE (2273).
