Banner Boswell hopes to open minds for open hearts
SUN CITY, AZ (Oct. 3, 2013) – Banner Boswell Medical Center is hoping to help community members keep their hearts healthy by “Opening Minds for Open Hearts” from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 in the hospital’s Memorial Hall meeting room.
Attendees are encouraged to visit with representatives from a variety of services located at the nonprofit hospital to learn more about preventative measures, treatments and the effect lifestyle has on heart health. Heart healthy refreshments will also be available for attendees.
In addition to more than 30 booths and heart health displays, medical experts will host a variety of lectures on heart disease. Confirmed physician speakers include cardiothoracic surgeons Murali Macherla, MD, and Rajeev Kathuria, MD, as well as Mohamed Gaballa, PhD, Director and Principal Investigator, Center for Cardiovascular Research at Banner Sun Health Research Institute.
The free event will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Memorial Hall, located on the first floor of the Support Services Building at Banner Boswell Medical Center, 13180 N. 103rd Dr. in Sun City. Anyone who pre-registers for the event will be automatically entered into a prize drawing.
