Banner Boswell named one of the
‘100 Great Community Hospitals’ in the U.S.
All hospitals included in the listing are typically located in rural areas and have fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs. The list includes both independent hospitals and facilities that are part of large health systems that “provide the quality of care and experience patients expect,” according to the publication.
The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected the 100 hospitals based on national rankings and awards from iVantage Health Analytics, Truven Health Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters), Healthgrades and The Joint Commission.
“We are pleased that Boswell Medical Center has been recognized a ‘Great Community Hospital,’” said Dave Cheney, CEO of Banner Boswell Medical Center. “Our quality measures consistently rank us among the best in the state and our patient experience scores routinely rank us in the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide.”
Earlier this year, the 501-bed Banner Boswell Medical Center was once again been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics. This distinction, awarded to Banner Bowell for the second consecutive year, is based on overall organizational performance including quality patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability.
