Banner Boswell ranked in 100 Top Hospitals
Banner Boswell is proud to retain its Top 100 status for a second year having been recognized in 2012. According to Truven, Banner Boswell was evaluated for its performance among 3,000 hospitals nationwide on measures of overall organization performance, including patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability.
Banner Boswell is a part of Banner Health, one of the country’s largest nonprofit health care systems with 23 hospitals in seven states. In addition, North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo. which is operated by Banner Health and McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo., which is owned by Banner Health, were also named to the list. Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona was previously recognized as a Truven Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital.
In Arizona, Banner Boswell is one of only two hospitals named to the list and was recognized among large community hospitals.
In addition to the Truven recognition, three Arizona Banner Health facilities have been recognized as “Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence” by HealthGrades, as reported by KTAR Radio in Phoenix. Banner Boswell, Banner Desert and Banner Estrella medical centers were recognized by HealthGrades in the top 5 percent of hospitals nationally as Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence. North Colorado Medical Center and McKee Medical Center, both in Colorado, were also recognized.
“It’s an honor for Banner to receive these recognitions for the great care and service we provide our patients and visitors every day,” said John Hensing, MD, Banner Health executive vice president and chief medical officer. “We have worked hard to become a nationally-recognized health care leader. Earning these designations means patients in our facilities are receiving some of the most paramount care in the entire nation. Naturally, we’re extremely proud to offer the communities we serve this level of service.”
