Banner Health Center to open May 22 in Gilbert
Center to treat adults and children includes imaging, lab services
GILBERT, Ariz. (May 8, 2013) – Banner Health will open a new medical facility, Banner Health Center, May 22 offering pediatrics, family medicine and internal medicine, basic imaging and lab services for adults and children. The Center is located at 155 E. Warner Road.
Staff physicians will include a family practitioner and pediatrician, with more physicians already planned as the Center grows with community needs. The Center includes 18 exam rooms, and its electronic medical records are accessible from all Banner hospitals and facilities.
“Residents of Gilbert and the surrounding areas will have quick access to additional premier health care services with this new Center, in addition to Banner Gateway Medical Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center,” said Jim Brannon, Chief Executive Officer for Banner Medical Group. “Our commitment is providing exceptional care and service, and we’re excited to be able to respond to a rapidly-expanding community need.”
Banner Health Centers accept most insurance plans. The Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Banner Health Center in Gilbert is the second of four in the East Valley to open after a shared groundbreaking on Oct. 25, 2012. Banner Health Center in Queen Creek opened on May 1; a center in Chandler will open in early August, followed by one in East Mesa in early September. An additional Banner Health Center will open in Goodyear within the planned community of Estrella on July 10, joining the existing Banner Health Centers in Peoria/Sun City West, Surprise, Buckeye in the Verrado Community, Maricopa, and South Loveland, CO.
East Valley residents are invited to attend the Banner Health Center Community Preview Event scheduled on Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Center. Participants can hear the opening remarks and join in the dedication at 9:30 a.m., followed by a celebration including food, giveaways, children’s activities and information about Banner Health facilities and services. Community members are invited to meet physicians and staff, tour the new Center, and even make an appointment to see a physician.
