Banner Lassen starting new volunteer program
Applications being accepted for volunteers interested in making a difference

SUSANVILLE, Calif. (Aug. 14, 2013) – Banner Lassen Medical Center is excited to announce a new volunteer program that will offer individuals  a variety of experiences from administrative work to assisting in departments such as medical imaging, the gift shop and visiting with patients. Shellie Anderson, volunteer coordinator, said it’s a win, win.

“Our goal is for employees and volunteers to work together as a team to provide excellent patient experience,” Anderson said. “Banner volunteers will donate their time and talent to make a difference in their community, helping our patients and staff.”

Banner Health volunteers provide an overall value of $21,600,000 each year, and their value to our patients is priceless. Anderson said they plan to reach out to area high schools to help students explore a career path in the medical field.

Qualified applicants can start immediately and applications are accepted throughout the year.  For more information, including job descriptions and applications, contact Michelle (Shellie) Anderson at (530) 252-2230 or
