Community Hospital nurse wins peer recognition
TORRINGTON, WY (Dec. 18, 2013) – Co-workers at Community Hospital have recognized outpatient nurse Staci Willey in the hospital’s Holiday Appreciation contest.
Willey recently became the nursing coordinator for infusion services and received accolades from her peers for her performance in that role.
The Holiday Appreciation Award was created to allow employees to give a co-worker the gift of appreciation during the holiday season. Criteria include inspiration, kindness, compassion and selflessness.
The winner received an iPad mini.
In the nomination for the Holiday Appreciation Award, her co-worker wrote “When Staci started the journey in outpatient nursing she quickly discovered she was working with a blank slate and had the ability to grow the department. She has made some wonderful changes and has developed a solid fan base with her patients.
Her co-workers said Willey always makes sure patients are well taken care of, laughing and crying with them and “always fighting for them. She truly inspires me to continue to endure for our patients.”
