Gala raises more than $75,000 for the Stepping Stones Adult Day Program at McKee
LOVELAND, CO (Nov. 5, 2013) – McKee Presents…a Sixties Celebration, presented by The Friends of the Hospital, was held Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Embassy Suites in Loveland.
Attended by more than 250 business owners, physicians, community leaders and McKee Foundation supporters the event raised more than $75,000. Ticket sales, sponsorship contributions, and auction revenue will benefit scholarships for the Stepping Stones Adult Day Program at McKee Medical Center.
The Stepping Stones Adult Day Program provides participants an opportunity to socialize, build friendships, and enjoy stimulating activities in a safe, caring environment. By tailoring activities to meet individual’s specific needs, Stepping Stones becomes a place where dignity, confidence, security and independence are assured, giving participants new levels of freedom and enhancing their quality of life.
The 3rd Annual McKee Philanthropy Award was presented to Lynn Matson. Lynn has volunteered with the McKee Foundation, United Way of Larimer County, KUNC and is very involved with the Loveland Rotary Club. The McKee Philanthropy Award honors one outstanding Foundation supporter and is presented at the annual gala event every year.
Major event sponsorship support for the gala came from Home State Bank, the Embassy Suites and the Jewelry Emporium. All of the funds raised will benefit the Stepping Stones Adult Day Program at McKee.
The McKee Medical Center Foundation raises funds and friends for the health and wellness of our community.
