Loveland Turkey Trot Breaks Record - AGAIN!

LOVELAND, CO (Nov. 29, 2013)--- The Loveland Turkey Trot 5K run/walk was held Thanksgiving morning at McKee Medical Center. Warm temperatures and blue skies allowed for perfect running conditions with over 2,400 people entering the race, the most ever for the 12th anniversary edition of this annual Loveland tradition.

Over $57,000 were raised and 100 percent of entry fees and sponsorship contributions will benefit the Heart Watchers Rehabilitation Program at McKee.

The Heart Watchers Program is a phase III/IV cardiac rehabilitation program that exists to provide the Loveland-Berthoud area with a low-cost, medically supervised, exercise and education program for persons at high risk for, or diagnosed with heart disease.

This long-standing Loveland program became part of McKee Medical Center in 1999 after operating independently for over 20 years.  Funds to support Heart Watchers are held at the McKee Medical Center Foundation.
