Group also seeks to expand its membership

WORLAND, Wyo. (June 24, 2013) – Members of the Washakie Medical Center Auxiliary invite the community to the 38th annual Washakie Medical Center Auxiliary ice cream social July 11.

The event, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the lawn of Washakie Medical Center, will feature refreshments and children’s games. Proceeds go toward a variety of hospital needs. Each year, the ice cream social raises about $4,000.

The Washakie Medical Center Auxiliary is recruiting new members. The auxiliary has raised $5,000 to $15,000 annually over the years to provide funds for various hospital projects. They also hold the annual Hobby Days Craft Fair and run the hospital gift shop. Other group responsibilities include volunteering to greet visitors at the hospital front desk and at the ambulatory surgery area. Annual membership dues are $5.
