McKee offers sessions on Medicare Part D

LOVELAND, Colo. – If you currently have Medicare prescription drug coverage, you should review your plan each year in the fall. While it may be cumbersome, reviewing prescription drug coverage options is worthwhile because you may find options that are more affordable or better meet your needs.

The Seasons Club and McKee’s Prescription Assistance program offer counseling sessions to help you learn about these options. Sessions are scheduled during the open enrollment for Medicare’s Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D), which is Nov. 15 through Dec. 31.

Medicare prescription drug coverage is insurance that covers brand-name and generic prescription drugs at participating pharmacies in your area. Medicare provides protection for people who have very high drug costs or from unexpected prescription bill in the future.

Everyone with Medicare is eligible for this coverage, regardless of income and resources, health status or current prescription expenses. There are programs that can help clients with low income pay for insurance premiums, deductibles and co-payments. We can help you complete applications for these programs.

McKee Prescription Assistance offers individual sessions on Part D on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 15 through Dec. 20. Please call (970) 635-4017 to schedule an appointment. For your appointment, please bring your medication list with doses and amounts, you Medicare card and current prescription plan card and proof of income for your household.

The Seasons Club will have individual counseling sessions Monday, Nov. 19 through Friday, Dec. 21. Please call (970) 635-4097 for available times.
