Banner Health's continuous growth is highlighted in the following current projects:
New hospital construction, Fort Collins, Colo.
The Fort Collins facility, to be built on a 28-acre campus, will open in 2015 with a two-story hospital featuring an emergency department, a 24-bed inpatient unit, labor and delivery rooms, medical imaging, women’s services, surgical services and lab services. The campus will include an outpatient clinic and medical office building. Future growth will be based on demand.
East Morgan County Hospital expansion, Brush, Colo.
East Morgan County Hospital’s expansion brings enhanced capabilities and strengthened commitment to the community. The new construction will expand the hospital’s footprint with an additional 29,000 square feet. Infrastructure upgrades include a new heating and cooling system and a new generator. Chief among the visitor and patient upgrades are additional parking spaces and larger, private and semi-private patient room, as well as a new entry.
Ogallala Community Hospital expansion, Ogallala, Neb.
A $2 million expansion is underway to accommodate more outpatient clinic services in the community and involves a 3,800- to 5,000- square-foot extension of the hospital. It will provide space for additional visiting specialists with five bays for infusion services and cancer care.
Outpatient cancer facility expansion, Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, Gilbert, Ariz.
A $62.6 million, 111,000-square foot expansion project of the outpatient cancer facility.will add three linear accelerators, 30 clinic exam rooms and 13 infusion bays. It will also allow the expansion of the Laboratory Intake Center and the Welcome Center and include the Cox Center for Integrative Oncology and Cancer Prevention.
New tower construction at Banner Estrella Medical Center, Phoenix, Ariz.
The $161 million expansion project. set to be complete in March 2014, includes the addition of a new tower, an expanded emergency department and expanded surgical, obstetrical and medical imaging capabilities.
Banner Goldfield Medical Center acquisition, Apache Junction, Ariz.
Banner Goldfield Medical Center opened in June 2013 to provide state-of-the-art, patient-centered care to the communities of Apache Junction and Gold Canyon. The 30-bed hospital offers an array of medical care, including emergency services, intensive care, medical/surgical care, progressive care, surgery, imaging, pharmacy and lab.
Opening of Banner Health Centers
Banner Health Centers are designed to take care of primary health care needs with convenient locations throughout the communities we serve. In our 10 current free-standing Banner Health Centers, we offer several medical providers and services in one location. Three to five additional centers are scheduled to open by the end of 2014.
Surgery Center acquistions
Banner Health offers the convenience of outpatient surgery centers to patients in Arizona and Colorado. These licensed, accredited facilites are staffed with experienced professionals committed to providing a safe, comfortable and convenient surgical experience. Recent acquisitions include Banner Del E. Webb Surgery Center and the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.
