Celebrate with Us
On Sept. 1, 1999, Banner Health was born following the merger of nonprofits Samaritan Health System and Lutheran Health Systems.
Ten years ago, Banner Health was in 14 states, had 22,500 employees, with 32 hospitals and 2,882 beds.
Since then, Banner Health has grown into one of the largest health care systems in the country, and is in seven states and has 35,000 employees, 22 hospitals and 4,330 beds. Part of that growth included the transition of Sun Health into Banner Health one year ago this week.
What’s been a constant through the past decade is the dedication and commitment of employees, volunteers and our physician partners. This is the true legacy of our organization, and the reason our future looks bright.
In celebration of Banner Health’s 10th anniversary, advertisements are being placed in the newspapers of all of the markets we serve. The ads recognize those individuals who made this anniversary special—our employees, physicians and volunteers.
