Laboratory Technologist Responsibilities
Laboratory Technologists oversee many laboratory operations and supervise medical laboratory technicians and other personnel. Laboratory technologists often collaborate with physicians, nurses and all other members of the health care team to provide quality service to our customers. Computers, chemicals, microscopes and other instruments are used to examine and perform tests is areas such as:
- chemistry
- hematology
- urinalysis
- serology

- microbiology
- coagulation
- phlebotomy

Laboratory Technician Responsibilities
Laboratory Technicians are responsible for the receipt of specimens into the department, preparation of samples for analytical testing, and performing some tests. This position reports to the lab technologist or department supervisor and may take direction from other technical personnel.
