Banner Health RN-BSN Program
(Project MADE)

 

Banner Health recently received funding through a U.S. Department of Labor grant. The grant provides funds to cover a portion of the tuition for ninety (90) RNs currently employed in Arizona facilities to earn their BSN through Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s RN to BSN Program. The ASU RN to BSN Program is an on-line program with several admission dates through the next 2 years.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this Banner Tuition Assistance program you must :

  • Be a current fulltime or part-time employee of Banner Health in an RN position at an Arizona facility;
  • Have completed six (6) continuous months of employment with Banner Health.
  • Be meeting or exceeding performance expectations at time of application and at time of submission for reimbursement;
  • Be free from any active corrective action at the time of application and at the time of submission for reimbursement.
  • Be admitted as a student to Arizona State University

Program Details
The program is 100 percent online. There are five start times per year. Spring and Fall sessions are 7.5 weeks;  Summer sessions are 8 weeks. Students may complete the program in 14 – 18 months, depending on work responsibilities, personal life and the number of courses taken per session.

Semesters start dates and deadlines
To be considered for DOL tuition support, a completed Banner Tuition Support Program Application Form as well as acceptance to the ASU RN-BSN Program must be received on or before the Application Deadline.

Application Process

Step 1 Gather information and documents needed for applications

  • Contact information for every college or university you have attended for requesting official transcripts.

Step 2 Apply for admission to ASU as an undergraduate

  • Using the online application www.asu.edu/apply,
    apply to ASU as: Nursing - Online campus.
    There is a nonrefundable application fee ($65).
  • Pay using a credit card when you submit your application or mail a check or money order to ASU (eCheck or MasterCard).
  • Request to have all official transcript(s) from every college or university you have attended mailed to ASU at:

  • When granted admission to ASU, a welcome letter is sent to the student.

Step 3 RN-BSN Program

  • After admission to ASU, the RN-BSN advisors will complete a degree audit report (DARS) and e-mail it to you.

  • Information about registering for Fall courses will then be sent via e-mail, along with a   welcome/information letter to the RN-BSN program.
