Banner Boswell Medical Center has been designated a Primary Stroke Center by the American Stroke Association’s Operation Stroke Initiative and Arizona Emergency Medical System. Our Neurosciences department was one of the first in the state to receive this designation, Boswell Medical Center was also among the first Arizona hospitals to administer tPA, a blood-clot-busting drug used to treat stroke victims.
