We truly make a difference in people's lives at Banner Gateway Medical Center. By incorporating our Performance Standards into our daily work, we create an environment to support excellent patient care, healing and safety. The architecture at Banner Gateway Medical Center was inspired by evidence-based research supporting healing environments and patient safety. Evidence-based design "creates hospitals that actually help patients recover and be safer, and help staff do their jobs better.*" This research project examined more than 600 individual studies that showed evidence-based linkages between hospital design and patient and staff safety and satisfaction.
