Banner Health Charity Pro-Am: Golfing Fore Kids

For more than a decade, the Banner Health Charity Pro-Am has been raising funds in support of pediatric health care initiatives that make a difference in the lives of children across the Valley.

Tournament proceeds will benefit Banner Heath’s Valleywide pediatric programs. As the state’s largest health system, Banner serves the pediatric health care needs of children across the Valley.

For more than a decade, proceeds from this annual tournament have supported Banner School-Based Health Centers, the program, which is funded entirely from philanthropy, serves an estimated 3,000 school children annually. Many of these children come from “working poor” families that do not qualify for government assisted health insurance, yet cannot afford private coverage.

Proceeds also will be directed to hospital-based services including such specialty areas as pediatric oncology, rehabilitation and a host of integrative therapies.

The 2012 Banner Health Charity Pro-Am presented by Arizona Medical Network, will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at Grayhawk Golf Club’s Talon Course. Individual tournament player entry is $750 per person; sponsorships range from $3,000 - $15,000.
