The Arizona Color Run
This event will take place on Jan. 25 at Tempe Beach Park, and will benefit Cardon Children's Medical Center. The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer.
With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow:
- Wear white at the starting line
- Finish plastered in color!
The fun continues after Color Runners complete the race with an unforgettable Finish Festival. This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing and massive color throws, which create millions of vivid color combinations. Trust us, this is the best post-5k party on the planet! This year's race is getting amped with more music, brighter color bursts, incredible entertainment, and the all new "Kaleidoscope" attraction. You won't want to miss the one-year only Kaleidoscope Tour 2014 when it comes to Tempe.
To register or learn more about the race visit The Color Run online. Save $5 when you register using code: BANNERHEALTH (use all caps). Also, $5 will be donated to CCMC. Click here to log on to register.

The 9th Annual Blake’s Miracle Swim and Float-A-Thon FestivalMar. 1 – The 9th Annual Blake’s Miracle Swim and Float-A-Thon Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SWIMkids USA in Tempe. Funds raised will support the Blake's Miracle Foundation with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting the Pain Management and Drowning Prevention programs at Cardon Children’s Medical Center.
Nine years ago, the Whitehead family lost their precious little red-haired boy, Blake, after a three-month battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Blake’s family (founders of Mesa’s SWIMkids USA) saw the physical and emotional pain that terminal childhood diseases inflicts on young patients. Turning their profound grief into something wonderful in our community, they started Blake’s Miracle Foundation.

The fundraiser will be a week long opportunity to focus on our oncology services. We plan to sell paper daffodil flower cut-outs in the cafeteria for $1.00 each, and build a garden on the cafeteria windows with the flowers.
