DJ Jen Jones to Spin at After-Party
In the world of DJ Jen Jones, all that glitters sounds
wondrous, too. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia,
Jones comes from a family of musicians and began cutting her teeth on music at a very young age.
A fan of rock, hip hop and the Melbourne house scene, it didn’t take long for her to succumb to the music. Studying the art and culture of DJ’ing, Jones moved to America, took to the turntables and hasn’t looked back.
Her attitude, charisma and adrenaline
are evident in every track she mixes, using her glowing creativity to blend beats of opposite genres for a killer sound. If you ask Jones about DJ’ing, she will tell you that she takes her career very seriously. But when you actually see her play a set in the club, it’s obvious that her fun-loving spirit and epic drive for perfection are what make her really stand out.
Jones creates more explosive electro-pop bass lines by combining her favorite genres of hip hop, rock-n-roll and a lot of bass.
From walking the runways to a career in the recording studio, Jones flawlessly maneuvers between the club scene and fashion shows. Amid playing in club venues across the country, she spun exclusive shows for Skylar Grey, Super Bowl XLVII at Lounge 88 in New Orleans, and at the fifth annual Stars of the Season in 2014, where she backed a special performance by Linkin Park. She has served as the resident DJ at Scottsdale’s Maya Day and Nightclub and Talking Stick Resort. In 2015, she became the official DJ for Sony’s PlayStation and Roxx Vodka.
