Meet Our Donors

We are grateful for the commitment and generous support of thousands of individuals, corporations and foundations. Our donors recognize the importance of Banner Health’s mission to make a difference in people’s lives through excellent patient care. They continue to partner with us to make this a reality in every community we serve.
We are pleased to recognize these donors for their commitment to the health and wellness of others through two distinguished programs – and Partners In Wellness.

The following are testimonials from several donors on why they support Banner.

Richard BleznakRichard Bleznak
Lifetime Banner Benefactor
“As someone personally affected by Alzheimer's disease, it is important to me to support the efforts of Banner Alzheimer's Institute for two reasons. First, the collaboration they have embarked on through the Alzheimer's Prevention Initiative is groundbreaking. It brings together top-notch medical institutions and minds from around the world to focus on treatments and prevention methods for this devastating disease. Second, their commitment to prevention is something that speaks to me on a very personal level. I don't want my children or grandchildren to be affected by Alzheimer's disease.

"The Institute and their partners are taking action now through research and clinical trials to ensure we don't lose another generation to Alzheimer's. I feel that it is incumbent on all of us to support these efforts when and where we can. A strong philanthropic spirit was instilled in me and I hope I have passed that onto my family so that work being done by Banner Alzheimer's Institute can continue for years to come."

John CaylorJohn Caylor
Annual Banner Benefactor

“I am glad to be a Banner Benefactor through my contribution to Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. My introduction to the cancer center was through a recent event at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold where I serve as Vice President of Occupational Health and Safety. I have been affiliated with Freeport for more than 20 years and am proud to be a part of a company whose support for important community issues such such as health care is evident all over the world.

"As a long-term cancer survivor, of both my colon and prostate, I am empathetic to others who suffer from this disease. I find Banner's partnership with MD Anderson impressive. We are fortunate to have such a great facility in our own backyard. It was important to me to support their treatment, care and research efforts. My gift as well as many others will continue to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients."

BHHS Legacy Foundation BHHS Legacy Foundation
Partner in Wellness

For years, the BHHS Legacy Foundation has been an invaluable partner for Banner Health Foundation (BHF), supporting many of its fundraising efforts. A charitable nonprofit that supports improved health care for Arizonans, BHHS Legacy Foundation is heavily involved with community outreach programs and patient care services. Since 2006, the foundation has generously given nearly $400,000 to help Banner in its efforts to build stronger, healthier communities.

In particular, BHHS Legacy Foundation provides funding support for Banner’s School-Based Health Centers, which provides free primary health services to thousands of medically underserved children. They also sponsor the distribution of free children’s bicycle helmets at the annual Banner Community Health and Safety Fair. In addition, the foundation supports the Family and Community Services program at Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI), partnering with BAI to help hundreds of families understand and access care options, and participate in free memory screening events.
