The East Morgan County Hospital Foundation exists to provide funds and support for capital and program needs for the East Morgan County Hospital.
Since 1991, the Foundation has successfully conducted several major campaigns to support the hospital's building program and capital equipment needs. Some of the major construction projects the Foundation has funded include:
- The Alonzo Petteys Rehabilitation Center was added in the early 1990s
- Phase I campaign remodeled and relocated the Emergency Department and nurses' station
- Phase II remodeled and expanded admissions, diagnostic laboratory and radiology
- Completion of a new family medical clinic and relocation of the Specialty Clinic to a new area that allows the providers and staff to serve the patients in a much more efficient manner, plus allows for future growth of the clinic.
In 2003, the East Morgan County Hospital Foundation went to local foundations, Banner Health, employees, and the community to bring the Picture Archive Communication System or PACS to the hospital. PACS electronically captures, transmits, displays and saves radiology images into digital archives for use at any given time. This system has been in use since February 2004.
