McKee Medical Center is committed to developing a formal simulation education program and training center on our campus.
After extensive research and planning – the simulation center at McKee has been approved and a major capital campaign is now under way to support this facility.
The simulation center at McKee will be a 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art education and training center that will provide and support simulation training of all kinds, from virtual reality trainers to computerized mannequins to simulated team training events.
It is a comprehensive training center that will be used to train physicians, nurses, and allied health providers in addition to pre-hospital personnel such as paramedics, emergency medical technicians and flight nurses. All specialties and disciplines will be invited to participate in the education and training opportunities at the center. The simulation center at McKee is a resource that McKee, with foresight and emphasis on quality patient care, has provided to McKee employees as well as the communities it serves to support the highest quality of medical care.
