Monfort Family Clinic
She's lost her job and is looking for another one. She has chronic health problems but can't afford medical insurance. She calls the Monfort Family Clinic a godsend because it offers $20 doctor co-pays and $100 worth of monthly prescription drugs for $17.
Thanks in part to a $2 million contribution by Banner Health, Sunrise Community Health Center expanded Monfort Family Clinic just in time to meet increasing community needs.
-
The clinic, run by nonprofit Sunrise Community Health, Inc., provides primary and preventative health care in Greeley and the northern Colorado area.
-
Seventy percent of Sunrise patients earn 100 percent of the federal poverty level, which is about $20,000 for a family of four.
-
Monfort Family Clinic's expansion makes it possible for about 1,500 new patients to be seen.
-
The expansion allowed the clinic to add behavioral and prenatal services as well as social work. It has three more doctors and two more physician assistants.
-
The clinic still has 20,000 square feet available for more comprehensive services, with plans to add more clinicians and especially, dentists.
