Banner Simulation System at McKee Medical Center will give physicians, nurses and other health care professionals the chance to perfect clinical skills in a safe, but realistic environment – without touching a single patient.
The 3,000-square-foot center at McKee Medical Center will have state-of-the-art training bays, multiple mannequins – or patient training simulators – debriefing rooms and a conference room with teleconferencing capabilities. The center also will have virtual-reality equipment that doctors can use to test and refine their surgical skills.

The simulation center will have fully equipped patient care rooms that simulate care scenarios in Emergency, Surgical, Critical Care, Obstetrics and Medical environments.
The $1 million center is expected to be finished in 2009. The McKee Medical Center Foundation is conducting a capital campaign for the center and kicked it off by providing the initial $250,000.
