About Us
Fairbanks Memorial Hospital has been serving the greater Fairbanks community for more than 40 years.
Owned by the people of Fairbanks, Alaska through the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation, we are operated by Banner Health, a nonprofit health care system guided by a mission to make a difference in people’s lives through excellent patient care.
Fairbanks Memorial Hospital has 152 licensed beds and is nationally accredited by the Joint Commission. We have a longstanding history of providing comprehensive, compassionate care and have earned national recognition for our excellence.
We have received multiple honors for outstanding health care service including the:
- Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Care Achievement Award
- The American Hospital Association Carolyn Boone Lewis Living the Vision Award
- Modern Healthcare Trustee of the Year Award.
Additionally, our hospital’s outpatient imaging department, the Fairbanks Imaging Center, was recognized with a Vista Award for New Construction presented by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American Hospital Association, Health Facilities Management and the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health.
