Fairbanks Memorial Hospital's combined Intensive Care (ICU) and Telemetry Unit provides a safe environment for patients requiring advanced levels of medical and nursing care. We offer 24-hour, on-site physician coverage and a nurse-to-patient ratio of at least one-to-three. Our staff also upholds the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Standards of Care.
As the only ICU in Alaska's Interior, we provide the best care with state-of-the-art equipment and qualified staff. Many of our nurses are certified in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN), giving them additional specialized training needed to care for critically ill patients. We understand that family plays a crucial part in healing and promote the right of family to participate in providing care and comfort.
