The Willow Run Special Care Unit provides a safe and supportive environment for residents with dementia. We understand the importance of family in our residents' lives, and strive to create a partnership between staff and family to meet their unique needs. Realizing that family is the primary caregiver for residents prior to their stay with us, we value the experience and insight they can share.

We recognize that admission of a loved one to a long-term care facility is often accompanied by feelings of loss, changes in family relationships, and feelings of guilt for not being able to care for them at home. The family continues to be a vital part of the resident's care team during his/her stay in our unit. Staff make every effort to provide support, education, and promote family involvement in the resident's care and treatment.
