Patient Rights & Responsibilities
You have the right to courteous treatment.
You have the right to be informed of the outcomes of your treatment, about other types of treatment and the freedom to choose the type of treatment you want.
You have the right to privacy, security and personal dignity.
You have the right to have your care and medical record kept confidential.
You have the right to receive the care you need by a qualified medical care provider, even if that means you need to be transferred to another hospital.
You have the right to be told and to refuse if your doctor or hospital would like to participate in medical research related to your care.
You have the right to receive an explanation of your bill and the charges you are responsible for. It is your responsibility to provide us with information about your insurance. You are responsible for prompt payment of your bill.
You have the right to receive an explanation of your medical treatment and to participate in decisions made. You may refuse treatment if you desire. We will tell you about possible outcomes of refusing care.
You have the right to an interpreter if you need one to communicate effectively.
You have the right to visitors during posted hours.
You have the right to have effective pain relief and the right to refuse it.
Your health care provider and staff have the right to be treated with courtesy and respect.
You have the right to pastoral care or any other spiritual services available.
You have the right to have your cultural and personal values, beliefs and preferences respected.
You have the right to have your Advance Directive honored.
You have the right to resolution of your concerns and/or complaints. We will inform you of our complaint and grievance process.
You have the right to access protective and advocacy services.
You have the right to access your medical record in accordance with hospital policy and State & Federal regulations.
