Cancer Research and Clinical Trials
Participation in clinical trials benefits patients, physicians and researchers alike, while transferring the latest research findings to the community. The Fairbanks Cancer Treatment Center offers information about clinical trials as the final stage of a long and careful cancer treatment process.
Cancer research is a continuous, ever-evolving process. Clinical trials test the effectiveness of various cancer treatments including new drugs, new approaches to surgery and/or radiation therapy, new combinations of treatments, and advanced treatment methods involving gene therapy. The goal of this research is to identify better ways to treat and care for cancer patients.
Speak with your physician about possible participation in clinical trials at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
