J. Michael Carroll Cancer Treatment Center
The J. Michael Carroll Cancer Treatment Center is Alaska’s premier cancer treatment facility.
Each physician, staff and volunteer takes pride in bringing personalized, compassionate and supportive care to our patients and their families.
Originally opened in 2000, the center was the vision of Dr. Carroll. It was renamed in his memory in 2011 to honor his legacy of patient care and leadership in the fight against cancer.
When facing the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, the center allows Fairbanks residents to remain close to home. Patients have the benefit of a comprehensive team approach from experts in a variety of fields. Each is focused on both the elimination of cancer and patient comfort and support.
The center offers:
- Cancer diagnosis
- Medical oncology
- Radiation
- Treatment including radiation
- Prevention
- Clinical trials
- Patient library
- Support groups
In an acknowledgement of the center’s ability to ensure patients with access to ongoing clinical trials, prevention and early detection programs and life-long follow up, the Center has been designated a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
