Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is committed to providing compassionate and innovative cancer care services tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

We offer experienced physicians and staff, advanced diagnostic and treatment tools along with an array of educational and support services.

With the J. Michael Carroll Cancer Treatment Center, Fairbanks has the first accredited cancer care program in Alaska. The Center provides integrated programs in cancer diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, education programs and prevention.

Fairbanks also has Alaska’s only accredited Breast Center. We have been designated a National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers recipient due to our comprehensive care, multi-disciplinary team approach and access to ongoing clinical trials and new treatments.

As an extension of the hospital’s cancer care services, the Fairbanks Imaging Center provides an array of diagnostic services that aid in cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment. The 57,000-square-foot imaging facility is conveniently connected to the hospital by an indoor walkway.

As a participant in Oncology Data Management, Fairbanks Memorial provides lifetime patient follow-up to help physicians improve care and better understand the cancer-care process. Through the registry, information including patient demographics, cancer identification, treatments and outcomes is collected, analyzed and forwarded to medical professionals at the local, national and global levels.
