Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix's Neurodiagnostics department provides both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing.
The department’s medical directors are board-certified neurologists who are fellowship-trained in subspecialties. The department also has a number of registered and dual-credentialed technologists who assist physicians during testing.
The Neurodiagnostics department participates in Gateway Community College’s Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program and students attend clinical rotations through the department.
The Neurodiagnostics department provides:
- Electroencephalograms (EEG)
- Ambulatory EEG
- Evoked Potentials
- Nerve conduction velocity (NCV)/Electromyography (EMG) testing
- Inpatient Long-Term Monitoring EEG Trending
- Intraoperative Monitoring
Diagnostic procedures and intraoperative monitoring are scheduled in advance and require a physician’s order.
Neurodiagnostics is open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Mon. - Thurs. The department closes at 4 p.m. on Friday.
