Campus childcare center now open to Banner Employees
After several years of investigation and months of construction, Banner Employees now have access to full-time childcare on the Banner Baywood Campus. Children's Choice officially opened its doors on Sept. 10, 2007.
The facility, which is managed and leased from Banner Health by Children’s Choice, a third-party contractor from Texas, provides employees the convenience of on-site childcare. Built on the south side of Baywood Avenue, west of Power Road, services include coverage for day shift with long-term plans to offer 24-hour care and service. The center can accommodate up to 145 children, six weeks to 12 years. It currently operates from 5:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The center serves both children and grandchildren of Banner Employees.
The center is nearly 10,000 square feet, featuring a playground zoned for various age groups, a drop-off area and a sick care area, which has a self-contained air system for mildly sick children. Accredited by the National Association for Education of Young Children, the center provides both daycare and learning center services for infants up to school-aged children. The groups are divided by infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten curriculums.
