The Ambulatory Treatment Unit at Banner Baywood Medical Center provides nursing and ancillary care to patients of all ages in accordance with all policies contained in nursing policy manuals and in accordance with Banner Health's missions and values. The ATU was established to ensure patients are provided care for their clinical and psycho-social needs.
The experienced nursing staff in the Ambulatory Treatment Unit provides the following outpatient services:
- various infusion therapies
- transfusions: blood products
- central venous access care
- injections
- ambulatory infusion pumps
- phlebotomy
- hydration
- physician-assisted procedures as appropriate for space and unit. (Physicians are encouraged to call ATU to discuss specific procedure needs.)
- chemotherapy

All appointments need to be scheduled through Central Scheduling at (602) 640-3131. Physicians' orders, and physician history and physicals need to be faxed to Central Scheduling at the time the appointment is scheduled. The fax number is (602) 640-3151. Location and hours
The Ambulatory Treatment Unit is located on the first floor of the Outpatient Services Center at Banner Baywood Medical Center. Our center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We're also available Saturday, Sunday and holidays by appointment.
