Cancer Diagnosis
Cancer treatment begins with an accurate diagnosis, and Banner Baywood Medical Center uses many cancer detection resources and state-of-the-art medical technologies to identify and stage cancers.
Banner Baywood participates in the Oncology Data Management, a confidential information registry that logs treatment-related data on all new cancer patients, to increase our effectiveness and help better understand the cancer care process.
Information including patient demographics, cancer identification, treatment modalities and patient outcomes is collected, analyzed and forwarded to medical professionals at the state and national level. Arizona law requires hospitals to report to the registry.
Banner Baywood’s cancer diagnosis resources include:
- Colorectal Screening
- Computed Tomography (CT) (64-Slice)
- Interventional Services
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Mammography
- Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
- R2 Early Detection Image Checker®
- Ultrasound
