Endoscopy
The Banner Baywood Endoscopy department is located in the Outpatient Services center at Banner Baywood Medical Center. Endoscopy provides services primarily for outpatients, as well as inpatients at Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital.
The Endoscopy department is one of the busiest Endoscopy Labs in the state of Arizona – more than 10,200 patients visited our lab and our staff performed over 11,000 procedures in 2006.
The department is staffed with specially trained registered nurses, endoscopy technicians and other support personnel who provide the highest quality of care and personal attention to each and every patient. Each procedure room is staffed with an RN and an endoscopy technician.
More than 25 physicians utilize our state-of-the-art facility, which consists of 15 admission/recovery beds, six procedure rooms and a motility lab. Our physicians provide more than 35 types of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to the gastro-intestinal and pulmonary systems. Although the majority of our patients receive moderate sedation, we are fully equipped to provide full anesthesia if the patient requires.

- Catheter-Free pH testing (Bravo)
Motility Lab procedures consist of: esophogeal motility, esophageal pH monitoring (including the new catheter-free 48 hour Bravo pH monitoring), anal manometry and biofeedback (pelvic muscle retraining for fecal incontinence).
Our hours are Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. We provide on-call coverage at night and weekends for emergencies. We do provide block scheduling for physician convenience.
