The Orthopaedic Institute at Banner Baywood Medical Center is a nationally-known 28-bed unit dedicated to treating joint injuries and diseases through procedures such as hip-replacement and knee-replacement procedures.

We offer specially educated nursing professionals and therapists, nationally certified clinical nurse specialists, and individualized discharge planning/care coordination to make the transition home as easy and comfortable as possible.

Physicians with The Orthopedic Institute perform thousands of joint replacement procedures each year, making us the leaders in hip and knee-replacement procedures in the East Valley.

While most of procedures done at the Institute are complex, nearly two-thirds of our patients are able to leave the hospital and return home immediately following surgery.
