Orthopedic Program

The Orthopedic Program at Banner Baywood Medical Center involves a nationally recognized, 28-bed unit dedicated to treating joint injuries and diseases through procedures such as hip-replacement and knee-replacement procedures. 

Banner Baywood is dedicated to providing innovative, compassionate orthopedic services tailored to meet patient's individual needs. We treat an array of orthopedic conditions ranging from sports-related and emergency injuries to arthritic, congenital and degenerative conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and cartilage. 

Physicians with the Orthopedic Program perform thousands of orthopedic surgeries each year, including more than 1,000 joint replacement procedures annually. Banner Baywood continues to make a difference in people’s lives through excellent orthopedic care.

Dedicated Surgical Unit
We offer specially educated nursing professionals and therapists, nationally certified clinical nurse specialists, and individualized discharge planning/care coordination to make the transition home as easy and comfortable as possible.

While most of procedures we perform are complex, nearly two-thirds of our patients are able to leave the hospital and return home immediately following surgery.

Banner Baywood's informative pre- and post-hospitalization joint classes thoroughly educate patients on the treatment and recovery process.
