Banner Baywood Medical Center understands the importance of a strong support system and provides support and education resources to help orthopedic patients feel confident that they are receiving excellent medical care.

To ensure patients are comfortable with both their diagnosis and proposed treatment, the hospital offers complimentary pre- and post-hospitalization joint classes for orthopedic patients. The classes cover information pertaining to the surgical and hospitalization processes, recovery and follow up therapy.

Joint Replacement Pre-Hospital Class

Before you have your total hip or knee joint replacement surgery at Banner Baywood Medical Center, it is recommended you take the Joint Replacement Pre-Hospitalization Class.

The class is held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. It will provide an overview of your hospital stay and is presented by a nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist and social worker.
