Banner Psychological Services 

Banner Psychological Services is the psychology department of these hospitals in Mesa and Gilbert, Ariz.: 

• Banner Gateway Medical Center
• Banner Baywood Medical Center 
• Banner Desert Medical Center  
• Banner Heart Hospital

The department employs 10 doctoral-level psychologists who provide a wide range of psychological services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.  We are also a provider for Banner’s Employee Assistance Program, through which Banner employees and their dependents can receive six outpatient sessions at no charge.

Services include psychological evaluation and individual and marital/family psychotherapy for patients age 12 and older for such issues as:

In addition, psychological, educational and neuropsychological testing services are available for issues associated with:

• Alzheimer’s and other dementias
• Memory loss
• Learning disabilities
• Evaluations prior to gastric bypass surgery, dorsal column stimulator implantation 

For patients hospitalized in the medical centers or presenting to their emergency departments, the psychologists provide crisis intervention services and facilitate transfer to psychiatric facilities when indicated.

Most insurance plans, including Medicare, are accepted.
