What you should bring - Adult Care
Patients in the Banner Behavioral Health Hospital acute and detoxification units stay an average of three to seven days. We encourage you to limit the amount of personal items you bring due to limited storage. If your stay is extended, friends or relatives may bring additional items.
We ask that you leave large sums of money, credit cards and expensive jewelry at home. If you cannot, there is a safe in the business office in which these items will be kept.
Please note the following restrictions:
- Clothing and accessories that are revealing, immodest, bear logos advertising alcoholic beverages, cult or demonic slogans, or promote sexualized or substance-related statements are not appropriate to wear in the hospital.
- You may keep up to $10 at a time to be used for vending machine snacks. Cash in excess of $10 may be secured in the hospital safe.
- We encourage you to review the prohibited/limited use items list.
For the safety of all patients, any items brought in for a patient during visits will be checked by staff at the nurse’s station. We ask that you respect the list of prohibited/limited use items provided in the handbook. Items viewed as inappropriate will be stored appropriately and returned to the visitor upon departure.
