Wendy Paine O'Brien Treatment Center for Adolescents
The Wendy Paine O'Brien Treatment Center offers unique and well-respected programs for Phoenix-area adolescents who have emotional, behavioral health or chemical dependency problems.
Throughout the past 19 years, Wendy Center, in Scottsdale, Ariz., has gained a national reputation for innovation, excellence, and success.
The center was founded in 1984 by Bill and Sada O'Brien. It is supported by the Banner Foundation and the Wendy Paine O'Brien Foundation.
We offer several levels of care:
- Acute inpatient
- Residential (AOC - Adolescents Open to Change unit)
- Intensive Outpatient
Wendy Center is covered by most insurance plans and fully accredited by the Joint Commission.

Our services:
- Referral and assessment 24 hours a day.
- After assessment, treatment begins at the appropriate level for the patient: acute inpatient stabilization, day treatment/partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs.
- Discharge planning beginning at intake and individually tailored treatment plans.
