Continuing Medical Education
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program is committed to improving patient care through organized educational sessions for the medical staff practice at Banner Boswell and Del E. Webb Medical Centers, geriatric fellows and residents training in the Banner Family Medicine Geriatrics Fellowship Program in Collaboration with St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Banner Health healthcare professional staff, and other medical professionals in the area.
Our commitment includes a primary focus on geriatric education in the medical and surgical specialties pertinent to the patient population of more than 180,000 older adults over the age of 65 in the primary service areas of the Sun Cities and surrounding communities. In addition and in view of the diversified population mix, we have included educational needs that focus on pediatric and women’s reproductive health. These programs are represented by local and national authorities including members of the Banner Health medical staff.
Banner Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
Banner Health designates these educational activities for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ each.
