Banner Boswell’s Medical Imaging team offers a wide variety of specialty diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, including:
- Brain perfusion to diagnose and help expedite the treatment of acute stroke
- Breast MRI and biopsies under MRI guidance
- Cardiac CT angiography
- Cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation for kidney and liver tumors
- DaTscan for the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease
- Stereotactic Breast Biopsies
- Yttrium-90 radioembolization for liver tumors
Our staff works closely with physicians to provide knowledgeable interpretation of imaging tools and treatment techniques to ensure the best possible care decisions are made for each patient.
Banner Boswell’s Medical Imaging department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and MRI. ACR accreditation is a rigorous voluntary review process that ensures our patients receive care that meets nationally accepted standards and exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines.
Banner Boswell Medical Center's Cardiovascular Ultrasound has been granted anaccreditation in Echocardiography in the areas of Adult Transthoracic by the Intersocietal Accreditation
Additionally, many of our medical imaging professionals at are nationally licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and state certified by the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners.
