Physical Therapy

Physical therapy helps patients regain strength, flexibility and functional movement, such as bed mobility, walking and balance. The overall goal is to help patients move more efficiently and comfortably with less pain and in a manner that prevents future injuries.

Banner Boswell Medical Center's physical therapists provide mobility evaluation and training as well as comprehensive rehabilitation in a variety of specialties, including:

• lymphedema therapy,
• orthopedic rehabilitation,
• Parkinson's therapy,
• stroke rehabilitation,
• and vestibular/balance therapy.

They can also instruct patients on exercises that may be performed at home, and in the use of assistive devices, prosthetics and wheelchairs.
